Previous Meeting - Spring 2026
May 29-31, 2026, NELL visited the New Haven, Connecticut area. The NELL Spring meeting took place at the Best Western Hotel in West Haven, CT. Highlights included a trip to New London Ledge Lighthouse, 5 Mile Point Lighthouse, Old Saybrook Light and Lynde Point Lighthouse. NELL members will also be visited area museums.

Portsmouth Harbor Light Reopened
A ribbon cutting ceremony took place on August 7, 2026 to commemorate the reopening of Portsmouth Harbor Light following storm damage a few years ago. The group photo is courtesy of Bob and Ann Trapani of The American Lighthouse Foundation. The others are courtesy Sharon Mills.
Doubling Point Light Preservation Check Presentation
On National Lighthouse Day, August 7, 2026, NELL members, Carol Blake, Sean Curran, Cindy Kimball, Sharon and Bob Mills, Sherri Roberts, Henry and Arlene Winkleman visited Doubling Point Lighthouse where they met Kevin Coleman, Vice President of the Friends of Doubling Light, and Dan and Janet McLean members of the Friends to present the check for the donation NELL made for the replacement of the walkway around the base of the lighthouse.

Pemaquid Lighthouse Preservation Check Presentation
On National Lighthouse Day, August 7, 2026, Carol Blake, Sean Curran, Cindy Kimball, Sherri Roberts, Henry and Arlene Winkleman met Dom Pucci who is the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Friends of Pemaquid to present the check for the donation NELL made for the restoration of the gallery door.
